Richmond: The First 90 Days

Like any other pointless blog, the author (that would be me) is completely convinced that it serves a worthy purpose. Many, many half dozens of people have been asking how my new city/job/side of Mason Dixon Line is treating me. While talking to any of my great college friends is always a big treat, I really don't want to be on the phone for more than the hour a day I'm already doing. So this will be a roughly weekly update of how Delaware's favorite son is doing in a Commonwealth that is not PA.

Also, to steal from Fasoline's blog, that he unceremoniously stopped updating, I wanted a snazzy theme to tie it all together. Unfortunately, "Pro's and Con's" was the best I could come up with, so I'm sticking with that.

As for a quick overview for those who ain't down (In order of time spent):
-I'm working at DuPont, it's going pretty good, I make Tyvek.
-I live in Shockoe Bottom, which is full of Yuppies and bars, it's not as good as it sounds to be honest. Oh, and it floods.
-I ride my bike, alot; the roads kinda suck here. I commute to work too, I like it.
-People are nice here, but I'm missing a solid drinking buddy still.

So that's my plan, take it or leave it. I hope to hear some feedback from you guys. And let me know if anything peaks your interest and I will elaborate. Such as why the fire hydrants are silver here or why I have "members only" fetish club within two blocks of my apt.

Weekend Pro: My interception in my touch football league. Epic.
Weekend Con: Saturday morning. Feelin' rough.

Bonus Random Musing: Did you know the white guy from OZ was in Wayne's World? Weird.
